Their first challenge is "Anything Goes" so I created this delightful scene using scenic stamps by Repeat Impressions.

Round three!!

Well, I got the email last night! I made it to the third and final round of the 2012 Spellbinders Design Team Contest!  Read all about it HERE! To say that I'm excited and nervous is an understatement. This is the final round and on February 13th, I'll find out if I will be an official Spellbinders Design Team Member!! Please keep sending wishes, prayers and cross all your eyes, fingers and toes for me!!! This would be a dream of a lifetime!

I created this pretty card using JustRite Stamps Botanical Butterflies, and Spellbinder dies Fleur de lis Accents and Inverted circles. Though it is hard to see, I poked holes into the scalloped part of the inverted circle and threaded with silk thread to look like a trellis.

Exciting News...

I am officially a design team member for 7 Kids College Fund! I just love their store! They have a fabulous and versatile selection of stamps, dies, and embellishments for papercrafters! Every other Wednesday, they have a Challenge and my first task was to "Try Something New".

My new item is the Spellbinders Spiral Blossom One which makes into a fabulous rose! I used white Bazzill paper and cut out the Spiral Blossom. I then took an dry embossing stylus and swirled it around to break the fibers and give the petals a more realistic appearance. I rolled up the blossom, and glued it to make the rose. Next, I took a Tombow pink water-based pen and colored the edges of the rose then spritzed it with water causing the ink to bleed. Voila, a gorgeous rose to accompany the sweet Belle by CC Designs

My designer paper is from the "Yours Truly" by Echo Park and I also used Spellbinders Classic Hearts and Scalloped Hearts.

Designer's Choice Challenge...

It's time for the Designer's Choice Challenge over at the House that Stamps Built! Dawn is the next designer up and her challenge was to make a card using the colors Blue and Brown! My stamp is  "8912-I, Snowflake Solid (lg)" by Repeat Impressions.
