With a grateful heart...

Continuing with the theme of sunflowers, I have created this pretty card using a new product I've never used before! Today I am showing you how to make this bright and cheerful sunflower using seam binding and Glubers from Cosmo Cricket, sold in The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

Glubers are the foundation for creating perfect flowers! They are a great way to use up strips of fabric, ribbon or trim. Simply apply gathered fabric, ribbon or trim around and around the Gluber dot, starting in the middle. Add a gem or other embellishment for the flower center, peel off the back and apply to any paper craft project. Instructions are included on packaging for 2 different type of flowers.

To make the sunflower, simply cut 30 or more 1 inch strips of Antique Gold Seam Binding. Remove the film from one side of the gluber, which will expose the adhesive. Pinch the end of the 1 inch piece of seam binding and lay the pinched end on the outer rim of the circle. Continue adding strips around the entire outer rim. Next, add more strips inside the circle of strips you just created, staggering them between the previous strips, and keep going until you have 3 rows. Add a bit of glue to the center and adhere your large brown button. Lastly, snip the edges of the strips to form your petals. Remove the film from the other side of the gluber and adhere the sunflower to your card.
