Pretty Heart Box...

I created this pretty heart box using two new releases from JustRite Stampers called Always & Forever Medallion Labels and Lace Borders Two with Spellbinders Classic Heart and Classic Scalloped Hearts as the base. I love the delicate lacy look I achieved when I embossed one of the stamps from Lace Borders Two with white embossing powder on my designer paper (Kaisercraft Sweet Nothings).

I added a big fluffy tulle bow, then topped it with more hearts, lots of pearls, a glittery flower, beaded stick pins and a double silk bow! My tiny sentiment from Always & Forever Medallion Labels packs a big punch, and sometimes, just one word is enough!

Designer's Choice Challenge...

It's time for the Designer's Choice Challenge over at the House that Stamps Built! Karen is the next designer up and her challenge was to make a Spring card using pastel colors! My image stamp is  "1309-J, Easter Lily" and my sentiment is  "105-G, To plant a garden..." by Repeat Impressions.

I used Spellbinders Label Seventeen for my embossing and it was super easy to create this look! Simply tape three of the dies together and emboss using your rubber mat and favorite cutting/embossing machine!

It's Belli Challenge time as well, and I am using more Repeat Impressions stamps for my creation! The challenge is a Sketch challenge and you can read all about it here! I used "9012-M, Dandelion Breeze" for my image and a sentiment from Sweet n' Sassy stamps for my card!

Rejoice!

JustRite Stampers' newest release, Easter Blessings, has inspired me in so many ways with the variety of stamps that comes with the set. I chose to use the sentiment “Rejoice!” from the set for this card and to frame it with Spellbinders Classic Petals Edgeabilitiies. Take a hop to the JustRite Challenge blog to see their post!

I stamped the sentiment three times on white cardstock, shaded the edges with a pretty soft teal ink, and adhered it to a teal panel. Next, I cut 4 edges with the Classic Petals die, 2 in teal cardstock, and two in Tim Holtz’s Idealogy paper stack. I then used the decorative insert from the Edgeabilities on those edge pieces. I adhered the patterned paper pieces on top of the teal pieces, then added pop-dots to the back.

I added a satin bow and a cross charm to the lower piece before adding it underneath my sentiment. I adhered the smaller edge piece over the top of my sentiment, then adhered the entire panel to a white card. If you haven't purchased this set yet, I would encourage you to do so!! It's a must have!

Too excited!!!

They say that good things come to those who wait! Well, I definitely am a believer of that philosophy!  I am just too excited to announce that I have been asked to join the JustRite Stampers Design Team and I couldn't be more tickled pink! I just love their stamps and have been designing with them for quite a while. I love the versatility of their product and can't wait to show you more fabulous projects and designs.

This week, JustRite Stampers is showcasing three new projects I've created for this announcement of joining the team! Please stop by the JustRite Challenge blog and don't forget to leave a comment!! We all love those! I am so thankful for this opportunity and looking forward to working with the other amazing artists that make up the JustRite Design team! It's a dream come true for me.

Here is my first card officially designing for JustRite and read all about it below!

As I was digging through my tons of paper, I found an Anna Griffin paper stack that I didn’t even remember buying! I am so glad I did, because as soon as I saw it, I let out a squeal and immediately knew I would use it for a card I had in mind for one of JustRite’s newest sets Always & Forever Medallion Labels. The pretty frame stamps are just gorgeous embossed with white embossing powder on designer paper!

I used Nested Medallion Label Dies, and Nested Oval Medallion Label Dies to cut out my stamped images. I added pop dots to each piece and layered them onto Spellbinders Blossom Tags and Accents die. I cut a small die from Labels Seventeen for my sentiment, which I edged with Copic markers. I used an embossing folder to add some texture to my green cardstock for the top of my card and the lower portion is a beautiful floral print from the Anna Griffin stack.  I stamped a pretty border using Lace Borders, and adhered it to my card panel. I added my sentiment medallion, then a satin and organza bow, beaded stick pins (which I sell in my Etsy store) and was finished!

Stamp of the Week - Rocking Chair

Repeat Impressions "Stamp of the Week" is on their blog "The House that Stamps Built", and the "2627-I, Rocking Chair" is the featured stamp! I am using a sentiment called "3103-F, Live for...". The details to this offer is only available on their blog! Also, check out the rest of the design teams' fabulous creations with this fun and versatile stamp.

My Etsy Shop is finally open!

Well, it's official! I have opened an Etsy Shop to finally sell my cards and other handmade craft items. After being asked numerous times if my cards are for sale, I decided to open a shop for them. There are two separate sections: Handmade Greeting cards (thinking of you, thank you, etc), and Holiday Cards. I have 100's of cards, so please keep checking back as my son lists them. (He's such a good son)

Also, I am de-stashing (to make room for more craft supplies, of course) and will be listing sampler packs of paper, and other items that I'm just not using or have never used! I am also making some pretty handmade items like bow pins, and flowers for your paper crafting projects.

Day Three Guest Designing ...

This week I'm Guest Designer with JustRite Stamps, and it's Day Three!! I am having a blast with their stamps and I've been trying my best to write tutorials for my projects. If you have any questions about any steps in the tutorial on the JustRite blog, please do not hesitate to contact me. I'm a novice tutorial writer, but promise I will get better! I've included a sneak peek of today's project and you can just click HERE to see the whole thing!!

Challenges...

Today we're focusing on Challenges! I have cards in 3 fabulous challenges to show you, and I encourage you to play in them all!!

First, we have the Designer's Choice Challenge on the House That Stamps Built blog and Joy is the next designer up and her challenge was to make a card using something that is leftover from another project. I had started a card and used Spellbinders Edgeabilities on a piece of glitter paper, but that card seemed to go into another direction, so I put that piece aside. I pulled it out for the background for my card for this challenge, and am quite pleased how it turned out. My stamps are "912-K, Tulip Bouquet" and "8622-D, Because" from Repeat Impressions. The dies I used in this card are Nested Oval Medallion Labels by JustRite Stamps, and Spellbinders Edgeabilities Classic Triple Scallop. The image was colored with Copic markers and my silk ribbon is from May Arts and Stamp Simply.

The second challenge is from 7 Kids College Fund Challenge blog and our challenge was to make a Monochomatic card! I love CC Design images (carried in the 7 kids store) and I just had to use Swiss Pixies Nora for my card. My sentiment is from Winter Words - Clear by JustRite Stamps. A satin bow and sweet snowflake buttons finished this card!

And the last challenge is the Belli Challenge, where there is a recipe to follow: 1 ribbon, 2 designer papers, 3 colors and 4 rhinestones/pearls must be on your card or project. My designer papers are from the s.e.i. Promise me stack and my sentiment is from Sweet n' Sassy Stamps.

An amazing day!!

What an amazing day I've had today!! Words can't express how thankful I am right now! I received a phone call this morning from Stacey Caron from Spellbinders Paper Arts to let me know that I was chosen for this year's design team! I was not very professional, let me tell you! I started to cry and kept saying "oh my gosh, oh my gosh". A dream come true!! A special thank you to all those that believed in me and especially to God for gracing me with this talent!

Then! I am Guest Designer for JustRite Stamps this week, and I'm just so excited! Here is a sneak peek of my first project! Head over to the JustRite blog to read all about it! Check back each day to see what else I've created with JustRite's amazing new stamps!

Hello...

Here's a pretty card using a pre-colored image from Fred, She Said. I just love that Fred, She Said has pre-colored images for when I'm in a time crunch. Print out the size you need, grab some pretty paper or an embossing folder, and you've got a card! Easy, peasy!

My card today uses the pretty pre-colored Peony flower digi set from Fred, She Said. This digi set has 10 different color variations! I printed it out, and cut closely around it, then added pop-up dots on the back.  My embossing folder is gorgeous! I added a hint of color with Copic Marker V12, then smoothed the edges with 0. I stamped a beautiful "Hello" sentiment from Close to my Heart in the center of the heart. A few pearls, and some flourishes by Marianne Creatables, all adhered to a purple card and I was finished.

Paper: Bazzill Cardstock, Doodlebug White Glitter Paper
Embossing Folder: Sizzix Textured Impressions Ornate Heart

Easter Blessings...

Is it too early for making Easter cards? Perhaps! But JustRite Stampers has a fabulous new set called Spring Words (a clear stamp set) and it has all kinds of fabulous sentiments for the spring holidays and I had to make this card! I stamped "Easter Blessings" on the top portion of JustRite's new Oval Nested Labels Medallion die, then just cut off the bottom half. I used Copic Markers B21 and R85 to enhance the wording and edge.

My wonderful focus die is the Layered Elegant Swirl Die from Heartfelt Creations, and gosh, it is so pretty! They have some beautiful dies that I plan to purchase soon! I cut a strip using the Classic Lace Borderabilities by Spellbinders and put it on the top and bottom of the die from Heartfelt Creations, and my side edging is the negative piece from Spellbinders Classic Triple Scallop Edgabilities. I am so in love with these! The rest of my supplies are listed below! Thanks for visiting!

Card Recipe:

Dies: Heartfelt Creations Layered Elegant Swirl, Spellbinders Classic Lace Borderabilities, Spellbinders Classic Triple Scallop Edgabilities, JustRite Stampers Oval Nested Labels Medallions
Paper: Bazzill White, K&Company Julianne, Doodlebug White Glitter
Embellishments: May Arts Silk Ribbon, Prima Roses, Recollections Pearls
