Forever Friend ...

Hi blog friends! Today I created this pretty tag using Spellbinders® Paper Arts newest dies Majestic Labels Eight, Labels 38, Petite Lace and Labels Eight. I just love all the releases this winter! Stay tuned for videos on how to layer with these gorgeous dies!

I had inquiries as to where I purchased the 100% wool felt that I used in yesterday's post! You'll find luscious colors of the felt at Wool Felt by Benzie! Tell her I sent you over!

Gerber Daisy Barrette ...

Today I created a sweet hair barrette using Spellbinders® newest die template from the Create-a-Flower series: Gerber Daisy! This worked up quite easy and was fun to make. I wrapped the comb with pink silk ribbon, then added delicate pearls. I used the Artisan X-Plorer™ and the Metal Shim to cut the 100% wool felt with the dies (though you could use the Grand Calibur® as well), then easily adhered the flower to the comb! Finished in less that 20 minutes! A perfect adornment for a flower girl or for Easter Sunday!

~ Enjoy!

Spring Easter card...

Hi friends! As you can tell, I've fallen in love with Prima Fairy Rhymes paper pad (I've used it in the past four cards) and it's a perfect background for Spellbinder's Die D-Lites Filigree Egg. The soft, subtle tones are a great basis for spring cards. I've paired the dies with JustRite Papercraft's Filigree Leaves background stamp and Easter Blessings set to make this pretty card. I finished it off with a double silk ribbon bow and a sweet Prima flower. Supplies are listed below and most are available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store. ~ Enjoy!

Easter Blessings ...

Hi blog friends! Some of you have asked questions in the comments, and I will answer them in this blog post! It's hard to answer in the comments, so if you ever have a question, please feel free to email me or find and friend me on Facebook. I would love it, and I'm always happy to help you in any way!

Gretchen asked the name of the music in the background of my videos: It is The Wish by Kevin MacLeod.

BlueRose asked why I added wet glue to my foam dots: I do that to enable me to move around the piece and get it into the right position. If I did not add the glue, it would stick and then if it's crooked, trying to pry it up without tearing can be tough!

Carolyn and Kelly Flaherty asked if they had missed the March Calendar page?: I haven't created the March Holiday page as of yet (Sharon has completely sold out of a lot of the items for it). I put the calendar pages on a Kraft Easel from Graphic 45 that has multiple pages to decorate and I glue each page to one. It's like a flip album.

Emily H, I did get your email and your package is on it's way! YAY!!

BlueRose asked how I embossed with vellum and not burn it?: I stamp my image with Versamark on the vellum, sprinkle on the powder and lay the vellum flat on the table. Then I take my heat gun and the nozzle is about 6 inches from the table. It takes longer for the heat to reach the powder and to emboss, but it doesn't burn the vellum. Make sure you use at least a 29# weight for your vellum. Anything lighter and it will curl or burn!

I hope that answered your questions! ~ Darsie

April Holiday Calendar...

April is the next month in my Holiday Calendar and I chose the theme of "Spring"! After all the ice and snow of last week, I already am ready for spring! I used Spellbinders® Die D-Lites™ Gilded Gate Two and Floral Border for the focal point on this page, and then used Font One Uppercase to spell out "Spring"! I finished it off with pretty butterflies and did a bit of stenciling on the upper edge. Have you started a holiday calendar yet? All supplies are available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store! ~ Enjoy!

Today, the design team of JustRite Papercraft is showcasing another mini cling stamp set called Butterfly Kisses! It's a pretty butterfly with accompanying sentiment and can be used for all occasions. Wishing you Strength...

Today I created a pretty fan card using JustRite Papercraft's newest stamp set Ribbons and Swags Vintage Labels Seven being released this week. I used a small stamp from the set and stamped it twice on Vintage Labels Seven with Versamark ink and embossed with white powder. The base of the fan uses another small stamp, and is adhered to the bottom of the seven individual die cuts. ~ Enjoy!
