Happy Thanksgiving!!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! At this time of year, we express Thanks for our bounty, but this is a practice we should do year round! Try and remember to BE THANKFUL always!

I had lots of fun creating my project for you today! Who doesn't love pie?? I love pecan pie, but my family loves pumpkin most! I've already got mine baked and cooling with whipped cream waiting in the fridge. Now, if I can keep my daughter's out of it until after dinner!!  I created this darling pie take home box from the Cake Slice Box - Large from Creative Cuts & More and Tim Coffey's "Fall" paper stack. Remember, you can get 10% off your purchase if you type in my code at the end of your shopping: CC&M10Darsie

I used the adorable digistamp "Turkey Day" for my pie box from Deedee's Digis!

Belli Challenge - Christmas Robins

It's Belli Challenge day, and our challenge this week was to put something with an R on our creation! I am using Red, Robins, and Ribbon for my card! My Robins are part of the Christmas Birds Series from Fred, She Said! I created this Waterfall card using an exclusive diecut from Creative Cuts and More. When you pull the tab on the card, you'll see more birds!

Here's a sweet card I created using the colored versions of the Christmas Birds from Fred, She Said. I just love all the white with the hint of color!!

Gingerbread Wreath ...

Did everyone enjoy the blog hop yesterday? Deedee's Digis design team had a ball creating the projects for holiday giving! There's still time to do the HOP! Just CLICK HERE to start!

To continue with my theme with my project yesterday, I created this darling Gingerbread Wreath made of candy canes and using "Gingerbread Holidays" for my images. Cut a circle from cardboard and cover it with cardstock, then glue the ends of your candy canes to the circle. Let it dry thoroughly, then add your cut out images, and a pretty bow! A quick and easy gift to hang on your door or give!

Tis Better to Give Blog Hop

The Holiday season is upon us -- a blessed time of love and laughter, precious moments spent with family, good food aplenty, and, for many of us, gifts and giving. Deedee's Digis Design Team has come together to share with you some ideas for fabulous gifts you can make! Join us today on our Blog Hop as we show you why "tis better to give" -- because not only will you have fun giving these gifts, but making them as well.

Here's how the hop works: To participate, visit each designer's blogs to see a fun project using one of Deedee's Digis and leave a comment on their post for a chance to win a free digi of your choice at Deedee's Digis Store. You have until 12 noon ET on Sunday to comment. Each designer will choose a winner Sunday evening, and we'll announce them on the Crafting with Deedee's Digis blog on Monday morning. Please be sure to check back then to see if you've won!

Don't forget that there is still time to take advantage of the Sale on Fall Digis! It lasts through November and it's a good time to purchase for next year!

Here is the list of designers:
Darsie (you are here)

Make sure you stop at the Crafting with Deedee's Digis blog and leave a comment and you could possibly win a $15.00 credit to Deedee's Digis Store. Also, Deedee is giving away a free digi as a gift for the holiday season, so make sure you grab it while you're there! The freebie will only be on the blog until Sunday, so get it while you can!

Here is the project I created using "Gingerbread Holidays". I just love those adorable gingerbread!

Holiday Sunday - Reindeer Poop

Here's a quick and fun stocking stuffer for the holidays! Reindeer Poop!!! No, it's not really poop, silly, it's chocolate covered raisins!! This is very easy to make! Cut a sheet of cardstock 3 x 12, score it at 6 inches, then punch two holes at the top and bottom. Tape your baggie of raisinets (you can used chocolate covered peanuts too) to the inside, fold and tie a ribbon through the two punched holes and decorate as you like.

I used a darling image from Deedee's Digis for my image called "Deer Friend" and he works PERFECTLY! For my poem, I went to the Poop Page (oh yes, there is one) and found the perfect Poop Poem!

Moose Sighting...

Boy, did I have fun with this card! I just got a bunch of Christmas die cuts from Creative Cuts & More, and created this delightful holiday scene! My base card is the Arch Window A6 Card which I ran through a Cuttlebug folder for my decorated window. I then brushed a black ink pad over the embossed areas for highlights. Next, I took a piece of  acetate and painted my "frosted windows", with white acrylic paint, added snowflakes, then adhered it to the back of the window. My Christmas Tree #04 Large is made of Alpine Velvet Paper which I put through the "Swirls" embossing folder, and my Moose - Small is cut out of Midnight Velvet Paper. Most all of Creative Cuts Die Cuts can be ordered in the Velvet paper, or the hundreds of other varieties of paper they carry.

On the inside of the card, I stamped a pine tree from Stampin' Up in Pine and Gray ink, then brushed the bottom portion with Brilliance Moonlight White for my snow. I added some presents, a chipboard sentiment, K&Company stickers and a velvet bow to finish the scene.

Remember, I have a special 10% off discount code you can use if you purchase from Creative Cuts & More. My code is: CC&M10Darsie

Belli Challenge - Something New

It's Belli Challenge time, and our challenge to you this week is "Something old, something new, something borrowed or something blue!" Now you don't have to do them all, and it doesn't have to be wedding themed! I chose to make a project with "Something New", but I did make it into a wedding favor! What did I use new? I used a new wedding stamp set by Inkadinkado, a new polka dotted tulle, and the Leaves on a Branch Trim punch by Martha Stewart which I just purchased last week.

I will come to you...

Recently, our lovely Deedee's Gram passed away, and I created this Sympathy Card for her family. I used the "Endless Beginnings" for my image, and a sentiment from "Words of Comfort". Its always so hard to find the right words and sentiments to express one's feelings during such a difficult time, but these fit perfectly.

Nature...

A quick posting as it's late tonight! I just watched "Beauty & the Beast" for the 20th time, I think! Just makes me sigh! Here's a card I created for my card class showing them how to use a variety of coordinated designer papers. The sentiment is from Stampscapes.
