Filigree Vase ...

Today I am showcasing Spellbinders™ Shapeabilities® Die D-Lites™ Collection’s newest release! They add the perfect touch to any project by combining form and function to create a style from elegant to whimsical. The Die D-Lites die templates are special because of their smaller sizes, they accent anything from cards, tags and mini albums just to name a few. Mix and match within the collection or use them as accents and embellishments to your favorite Spellbinders dies. So many designing options! Cut, emboss and stencil all your craft projects with these unique die templates.

I used the Filigree Vase for my card with Graphic 45 designer paper and a beautiful floral image from JustRite Papercraft!

Sunflower Vase...

Today is my last project in the Sunflower series and I made this pretty vase with glittery flowers! I filled it with black rocks, dried flowers and scattered dainty butterflies amongst the stems. Read below for the quick tutorial for creating the easy flowers!! Once again, I used Cosmo Cricket's Glubers for my creation! Hop over to The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and purchase Glubers before Sharon runs out!!

Glubers are the foundation for creating perfect flowers! They are a great way to use up strips of fabric, ribbon or trim. Simply apply gathered fabric, ribbon or trim around and around the Gluber dot, starting in the middle. Add a gem or other embellishment for the flower center, peel off the back and apply to any paper craft project. Instructions are included on packaging for 2 different type of flowers.

To create the glittered sunflower, simply cut the large flower in Jewel Flowers & Flourishes from a gluber with your Grand Calibur or die cutting machine. I used the 2 inch glubers for this project. Peel off the film from one side of the gluber and add gold glitter on the petals, avoiding the center (as shown above). Next, add brown glitter to the center of the gluber flower. Peel the film from the back side of the gluber and adhere the glittered sunflower to your project.

With a grateful heart...

Continuing with the theme of sunflowers, I have created this pretty card using a new product I've never used before! Today I am showing you how to make this bright and cheerful sunflower using seam binding and Glubers from Cosmo Cricket, sold in The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

To make the sunflower, simply cut 30 or more 1 inch strips of Antique Gold Seam Binding. Remove the film from one side of the gluber, which will expose the adhesive. Pinch the end of the 1 inch piece of seam binding and lay the pinched end on the outer rim of the circle. Continue adding strips around the entire outer rim. Next, add more strips inside the circle of strips you just created, staggering them between the previous strips, and keep going until you have 3 rows. Add a bit of glue to the center and adhere your large brown button. Lastly, snip the edges of the strips to form your petals. Remove the film from the other side of the gluber and adhere the sunflower to your card.

Sunflowers & Mom ....

I fell in love as soon as I saw the newest paper pad from Graphic 45 called French Country! I just love sunflowers! They are my favorite and I have a very fond memory of driving down to Virginia to see my Mom and I turned a corner and there was a huge field of sunflowers. I stopped and snapped quite a few pictures and had them developed while spending the week with her! I think of her whenever I see sunflowers, so creating a Mother's Day card with this collection was meant to be. I miss you, Mom!

We are celebrating Moms over on The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store's blog and we've got a lot of pretty cards that would fit the occasion! Take a few minutes to have a look, and hop over to the store to pick up some special crafting items so you can create your own Mother's Day card! There's still time to make something beautiful for Mom, Grandma, etc.

JustRite Papercraft April Release - Day Five

Today is the last day of the JustRite Papercraft April Release and we are showcasing two new background stamps called Secret Garden Background Stamp and Damask Wallpaper . I am so in love with the Secret Garden stamp and have made a simple card to let you see how beautiful it is all by itself.

With JustRite's background stamps, you can make quick and easy cards by stamping the background with Versamark, embossing it with white powder then embellishing with a tiny sentiment and bow! Card made in less than 15 minutes!! The best news? JustRite background stamps are on sale until April 9th for 20% off!

I used the baby wipe technique again with Faber-Castell Gelatos (which are on sale until April 9th for 20% off also). Its so simple to do, yet has such a 'wow' effect! You'll want to use sturdier paper for your backgrounds, so that it doesn't warp when you use the baby wipe!

JustRite Papercraft April Release - Day One

I am excited to show you the first stamp set in JustRite® Papercraft's April Release! Floral Thank You is such a pretty set with lovely sentiments that I am sure you'll love! I have paired the stamps with the fabulous die template 5x7 Detailed Scallops from Spellbinders Paper Arts™. I altered the die just a bit by cutting off the outer loops to get a different edge. That's what I love about their dies, is that you can cut them apart, and get a whole new look. This makes the dies very versatile!

My background is created with Faber-Castell Gelatos and JustRite now carries them in the store and is currently having a 20% off sale!! I used the baby wipe technique to get my beautiful rich colors, then stamped the flower using black StazOn, and finished it with a luscious bow made of silk ribbon from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store. My finished card size is 5 x 7 inches!
