This is the most beautiful (and gut-wrenchingly sad) depiction of Memorial Day I've seen. Thank you Darcie for reminding everyone WHY they can have BBQ days.
Darsie, I would like to thank you for posting the picture. It seems most forget the true meaning of Memorial Day. It is a day of honor, respect, and gratefulness, dedicated to those that gave some, and for all those that gave all. Thank you.
Here in Hawaii, we treat Memorial Day with great seriousness. With Pearl Harbor located centrally and the Punchbowl Cemetery and State Veterans Cemetery and all branches of the military situated all over the island, we are reminded daily of the importance our military plays in our daily life. We are grateful to the men and women - deceased and living - who have dedicated their lives so we may enjoy our freedom, liberty and BBQs. Aloha!
