Blue Heron...

Today is the "What if? Challenge" over at "The House That Stamps Built" and I am using a fabulous stamp called the Great Blue Heron from Repeat Impressions. I just love, love, love this stamp! The sketch to follow is below and you can read all about the Challenge on the blog! Check out the rest of the design teams magnificent creations for the sketch challenge!

I stamped the Heron on Whisper White cardstock, then colored with Copic Markers. I sponged on ink with my Colorbox Stylus for the water and sky. I then rounded the edges then adhered it to a glittery soft blue cardstock with rounded corners. My punched strip uses a Martha Stewart punch, and my sentiment stamp is from Repeat Impressions as well. I added black rhinestones, and a gingham ribbon to finish the card. Card size: 4 1/4 x 6 1/4 inches

  10. Darsie, this is beautiful, I love how deep blue you colored this heron, it is very striking. The addition of the metal brads perfectly mimic the pattern in the border punch, great job! I will have to get out my Repeat Impression stamps and play along. Thanks for the inspiration.
