A magic wand...

I created a pretty Christmas card today using a lovely sentiment from Quietfire Design called "Christmas Waves a Magic Wand". I stamped it onto one of the new Die D'Lites™ from Spellbinders Paper Arts™ called Medallion Five!

My pretty bow is made from burgundy silk ribbon from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store. If you haven't yet tried silk ribbon for your creations, you are missing out! They have wonderful sampler packages also!!

Happy Halloween!!

So, while Hurricane Sandy is storming around me, I have created a darling birdhouse for Halloween! I had a lot of fun with this! I painted my birdhouse (purchased from Hobby Lobby) with two shades of acrylic orange paint, including the roof. Next, I added Crackle Medium to the roof, let it dry to just tacky, and swiped on black paint which gave it a fantastic aged look.

Once the paint on the roof was dry, I cut and embossed Spellbinders™ Spider Web in black cardstock and adhered the web to the side corners and under the eaves of the birdhouse. I used the Persian Accents border for my fencing around the bottom, and my sentiment "Something Wicked" from Quietfire Design was stamped on Romantic Rectangles which was stamped and stenciled with black and orange ink. 

I added Spanish moss and twigs I had sprayed with black paint, and topped it off with a black bird I found at Michael's. My final touch were the spiders that come with the Spider Web die which I had cut, embossed and added orange rhinestones for eyes. Here's a close up look of the crackle roof, spider and bird:

Trick or Treat...

I've created a quick and easy gift box for Halloween using the "Trick or Treat" stamp from the Halloween Wicked Collection from Quietfire Design, a must have set for the upcoming spooky holiday! This set has all the stamps you need to make wickedly fabulous Halloween cards for those you love!!
 

My project is made from a box I picked up in the wedding section at the dollar store. You know, the kind that you use for wedding favors? Easy to put together and decorate! I sprayed my box with Clearsnap Smooch Red Spritz and let it drip down the sides to resemble blood. Next, I stamped "Trick or Treat" with Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder, then cut it out with Spellbinders Paper Arts™ Scalloped Labels One and adhered it to my box. I added a funky skeleton bat from the K&Company Brenda Walton Haunted Chipbox and topped it off with fun googly eyes! Lastly, I stuffed it with Ghost Chocolate, Zombie Food and Eyeball Gum!

Happy Birthday...

I'm pretty excited to be making my first post for Quietfire Design and want to thank Suzanne for this fabulous opportunity. I've created a lovely card using Happy Family Days from the Summer 2012 Release. I love that this set with Calligraphic Frame coordinates with Spellbinders™ Labels One dies. Belli Challenge with Quietfire Designs...

It's time for the Belli Challenge and our theme is "Christmas in July", so I chose a gorgeous calligraphy style stamp called "Hold on to the Spirit of Christmas" by Quietfire Designs for my sentiment. (You can see the tag I made using this same stamp HERE.) 

I paired it with last year's Spellbinders™ Layered Poinsettia die templates along with Labels Eleven and created this beautiful card! Add some Basic Grey paper, pretty lace, swirly pearls, glass glitter and silk ribbon from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and you have a stunning creation!

The Spirit of Christmas...

So, I've been having fun creating tags, and I guess the Christmas card spirit has captured me!! I've been digging out my holiday papers, embellishments and trims for the coming card creating season!  Today's tag features a beautiful calligraphy stamp from Quietfire Designs. My stamp is called "Hold on to the Spirit of Christmas". I used Spellbinders™ Labels Seventeen for my tag base, with patterned paper and a 3D poinsettia from K & Company. My gorgeous olive green silk ribbon is from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, and the rhinestone, pearls and lace is from my stash!
