I just love creating Christmas cards, and really enjoy using non-traditional colors for them. I used soft colors of pink, green and white for my card and a lot of Spellbinders die templates including the new 2013 Heirloom Ornament. All supplies are listed below!
How about a contest? I will give this card to one lucky reader and all you have to do is leave a comment below! I will be mailing this card to the lucky winner so make sure you leave your email in the comments section or privately send your email address to me! I will choose one winner randomly on Monday, July 22nd at midnight.
I created my pretty poinsettia with Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia using a lovely vellum from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store. She has three weights of vellum in the store that will work for any projects, #24 Clear, #24 Iridescent, #29 Clear, #29 Marble White, and #40 Vellum! In the next few weeks, I'll be making more projects using vellum and you'll love it! I cut/embossed my poinsettias with the vellum, then colored them while they were still in the die with Faber-Castell Big Brush pen in Red. I used a baby wipe on the inked vellum to soften the pen strokes and lightly tint the rest of the vellum pink. I repeated the process for the leaves using a green Big Brush pen.
