Paper Pieced Sunflower...

Hi everyone! Today, I have used the "Sunflower Season" stamp set for a fun card I created for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store. I stamped the image three times on designer paper in orange floral, green polka dot and black and ivory checked. I then cut out portions of the image to create a paper pieced Sunflower. I love how it turned out!

You can read all about the supplies I used HERE:

Fall Pumpkin...

Hi everyone! Today is my third project for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store using their newest Autumn stamps called "Give Thanks"! I stamped the leaves on Gold Metallic cardstock (new to the store) with Versamark, then embossed with copper powder. I cut them out, then add a bit of fall color to them using gelatos. All supplies are listed below!

I created the pumpkin using the Ivory Burlap String and Elmer's Glue, wrapped around a water balloon, covered in the Distress Glitter and allowed to dry overnight. Popped the balloon and took a wire brush to the pumpkin to distress it a bit. The stem was created using Brown Burlap String and Elmer's Glue, wrapped around a marker, and allowed to dry. Green florist wire was used for the curly q's and a battery operated candle lights it up!

Upon Remembrance...

Hi everyone! It's been a while since I posted because my sweet, baby girl is visiting from Ohio and we are having a blast! Today, The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store has come out with two fabulous new stamp sets for the fall season and I am in love, love, love with them!

I used Stamp Simply Give Thanks Clear Stamps and did a bit of vibrant watercoloring on the leaves using Altenew's Green Fields, Red Cosmos, and Summer Afternoon 4 Cube Ink Sets then simply embossed the sentiment in gold. Add a bit of bling and a burlap string bow and I was finished! I adore this card!

Fall Bliss ...

November in New York is when the leaves are almost all gone and we are settling in for a long winter. Soon, the leaves on the ground will be covered in snow, and all the beautiful colors of autumn will be a memory. Fall is my favorite season with the balmy weather, bright colors and time of harvest! I've created this card with these thoughts in mind! ~Enjoy~!

My leaves are from Spellbinders® Paper Arts Fall Foliage dies, and are cut from ivory cardstock, then painted with various mixtures of Creative Inspirations Paints including: Burnt Clay, Pumpkin, Raw Sienna, Rustic Red, Emerald, Green Olive and Sunshine. Once dry, I used the cracked glass technique, then rubbed it with Olive Grove ink to highlight the cracks. I layered them on an M-Bossabilities Tweets and Twigs embossed background, attached a twine bow, tiny twigs and a fall sentiment from JustRite Papercraft to finish the card.

Thankful Thoughts Blog Hop

Fall is such a marvelous time of year! God's great bounty is so very visible - in the harvest of crops that will sustain us through the coming winter, in the glorious display of leaves and foliage, and in so many other ways! It is little wonder that we find ourselves feeling thankful thoughts at this time of year particularly, though it is good to be thankful at all times.

Please join us today for the "Thankful Thoughts Blog Hop" as the Deedee's Digis Design Team shares with you some of the ways we express our thankful thoughts through papercrafting. We hope our projects will inspire you to share some thankful thoughts of your own.

Here's how the hop works:
  • To participate, visit each of the participating designers' blogs to see a fun project using one of Deedee's Digis, and leave a comment on their post for a chance to win a free digi of your choice from the store. You have until 12 noon ET on Sunday to comment. Each designer will choose a winner Sunday evening, and we'll announce them on the Crafting with Deedee's Digis craft blog on Monday. Please be sure to check back then to see if you have won.
  • Below is the list of designers, but make sure you start at Crafting with Deedee's Digis and leave a comment for a chance to win a $15 credit at Deedee's Digis. Again, you have until 12 noon ET on Sunday to comment, and the winner will be announce on the craft blog.
  • Finally, another reason to visit the craft blog, there's a treat/free digi for you as a token of how thankful we are for your support of Deedee's Digis, Crafting with Deedee's Digis and the design team. The freebie will only be there until Sunday evening, so be sure to snag it before then.
Darsie (you are here)

Here is my project for the Blog Hop! I wanted to make something different, so I searched the web for a template and found one for a hot beverage sleeve. This would be a cute gift for a tea drinker, or a secret pal! I used a new digi that will be released on Monday called "Bounteous Blessings" and it's the perfect image for Thanksgiving! I love the sentiment that comes with the image as well!

Thank you so much for stopping by, and your next stop is Deedee's Blog!!

Belli Challenge - Pumpkins/Fall

It's time for the Belli Challenge and our challenge was to make a card with a Pumpkin or Fall Theme! I did both! I used a beautiful digi stamp called Pumpkins & Sunflowers by Fred, She Said for my card. We had the option of using a sketch, and I used it with designer paper from Cloud 9 Designs and the Paper Studio.
