Butterfly Love...

Hi everyone! Today, I have a fun tutorial for you on how to create your own embossed paper using Spellbinders® Paper Arts 3D Embossing folders. Sculpt your surfaces with Spellbinders® 3D M-Bossabilities™ folders. Take your embossing beyond to get a more realistic impression with their 3D folders! They offer a more dynamic embossed and letter pressed look for an amazing result.

The sandwich for Spellbinders 3D M-Bossabilities folders in Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Die Cutting and Embossing Machine (stack from bottom up): B-Pink Embossing Plate, 3D M-Bossabilities Folder with Media Inside and D-Raspberry Adapter Plate.

This week, Spellbinders is having a great offer on 3D Embossing Folders! Buy One Embossing Folder and get the Second One FREE! You can't beat that! You save between $6 - $8 with this offer.

The sale is good until September 19th, and you'll want to use my shopping code: DBEMBOSS

Instructions on how to make your own embossed paper:
1. Lay four or five sheets of Kleenex tissue inside of your chosen 3D Embossing folder. I am using Labels 34 Medallion! The more sheets you use, the thicker the paper will be.
2. Spray Memento LuLu Lavender Fireworks ink all over the tissue surface as shown. The ink washes off when you are finished.
3. Spray Memento Summer Sky Fireworks ink in various spots on the tissue surface as shown.
4. Close the lid onto the folder and emboss using the Raspberry and Pink plates in your Grand Calibur®. Leave the tissue inside the folder, place a few books on top, and allow it to dry.
 5. Remove the paper from the embossing folder once dry, then trim to fit your card. Decorate as desired.

Thankful for You...

Hi everyone! I have another sweet card using a die template from Spellbinders® Paper Arts Laced with Love called Blooming Collection. This pretty set has four dies: a filigree square, an embossed circle and two filigree corners that can be use in many different ways.

For my card, I cut and embossed the circle, then cut/embossed four of the corner pieces and set them inside the circle. It became a lovely filigreed medallion for my sentiment. Add a floral background, silk ribbon and pearls and you have a lovely card to give!

Special Day...

Hi everyone! Today, I have a pretty card that could be used for many occasions using Spellbinders Paper Arts® Laced with Love: Hearts A Flutter. This die template cuts easily and can be stenciled or left plain. It makes a striking contrast against a dark background and the tiny birds are so sweet!

For my card, I did some stenciling with ink and a sponge dauber while the die cut was still in the die, and used it as my focal point. I added some teal ink on top of a light blue cardstock to get my sky, and then stamped a sentiment. Quick and easy, yet beautiful!

Just for You...

Hi everyone! I have another card for you using Spellbinders® Paper Arts newest little machine called the Sapphire Mini Die Cutting Machine, that is only available at JoAnn's. The machine cuts and embosses dies up to 2.25" wide, is affordable and portable. Spellbinders® Sapphire die templates allow you to cut, emboss and stencil shapes to make beautiful handmade embellishments for cards, crafts and more. They have a great price, starting at $4.99,  that allows you to experiment with paper crafting without making a big commitment.

Today, my card uses Sapphire Dies: Hearts and Flowers and I, once again, used the negative space from cutting to create it. Simply lay the die templates on a patterned paper panel, cut and emboss using your machine. Remove the die cuts for another card and glue to a panel then decorate as shown.
