Happy Halloween...

I want to thank everyone who left such beautiful comments here on my blog and to my email concerning my scrapbook page for my Mom and Dad.  Your heartfelt words were touching and lifted my spirits so much!! I am so honored and humbled by your kindness and friendship!!

Today I have a fun card for you. I created this card for the Clean and Simple Challenge at SplitCoast Stampers where we're making cards based on an earlier card by me. This worked up pretty fast. I stamped my sentiment from Inkadinkado using Memento Tuxedo Black and Tangelo on a white panel. Next, I cut the panel with Spellbinders™ Shapeabilities Spider Web, added a bit of baker's twine, then mounted it to black cardstock with foam dots. I adhered that piece to a white card and I was done!! Nothing is easier than that!

Eternal Love...

As a member of the Spellbinders Paper Arts design team, one of our monthly projects is to create a scrapbook page. Most of you know me as a card maker, but I have fallen in love with scrapbooking! I decided that my first page would center around pictures of my parents when they first met and their lifetime of eternal love. It took me quite a bit of time to create this page due to the fact that both of them have joined God in heaven. Through bouts of tears, memories and heartache, missing them so, I hope I was able to due justice to their love. Today would have been my daddy's birthday, so I give this gift to both of them. LYTAM Daddy and Mom. I miss you so. (You can see this page in the Idea Gallery HERE)

Flower Girl Headband...

I love weddings, and I think the flower girls dressed in their finery are most precious. With that in mind, I created a pretty Flower Girl Headband using Spellbinders™ Shapeabilities Rose Creations.  This Headband is for sale in my Etsy store HERE!

I took a wire headband that I had purchased from Hobby Lobby, wrapped it in pretty ribbons, then added my roses that I had made with Melissa Frances crepe paper from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store. When I created the roses and leaves, I used ivory and green crepe paper, then added some color with Copic markers and extra sparkle with crystal glitter. Small tulle bows accent the piece with satin ribbons cascading down.

I added some punches to my Etsy Store! Check them out HERE!

Today's card uses one of Spellbinders™ M-Bossabilities™ called Enchanted (I used Side B). I rubbed an inkpad across the service, then colored the flowers with a Copic Marker. My sentiment is from Sweet 'n Sassy.

It's time for the Belli Challenge and our theme is "Christmas in July", so I chose a gorgeous calligraphy style stamp called "Hold on to the Spirit of Christmas" by Quietfire Designs for my sentiment. (You can see the tag I made using this same stamp HERE.)

I paired it with last year's Spellbinders™ Layered Poinsettia die templates along with Labels Eleven and created this beautiful card! Add some Basic Grey paper, pretty lace, swirly pearls, glass glitter and silk ribbon from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and you have a stunning creation!

Door Knob Wreaths...

So I created something really cute!! I received a package of Rosette trim by Webster's Pages from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and wanted to go outside the box and NOT use it as trim on a card. We all want more for our dollar, and finding different ways to use something will give us more variety for the products we buy.

I created the most darling door knob wreaths with jingly bells and it was so EASY! You can also use it as a miniature hanging wreath on the wall! My tutorial is below and I encourage you to make these for yourself or as gifts!

16 inches 20 gauge wire
Wire cutters

Instructions:

Tie seam binding around bloomer circle:

Add bells:

Add bow and embellishments:

How cute is that?? In the bloomers package you get 5 colors, so you could make 5 gifts for minimal cost!! I just love that!!  Here is my second Door Knob Wreath I created with the Aqua colored Bloomer:

Ribbon Inspiration...

Remember how I said I was doing behind-the-scenes crafting? Well, I can finally spill the beans about one of them! I am so stinking excited! As you know, my favorite store to purchase ribbons, papers, and crafting supplies is The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store. Imagine how thrilled I was when Sharon Johnson (owner) asked me to be Special Projects Designer! What this means?? Holy cow, she sent me a huge box of the most delightful ribbons, papers and embellishments that I had to stop myself from rolling in them with glee!! So, of course, instead of doing that, I went about crafting and what a creative time I had! Thank you, thank you, Sharon, for this fabulous opportunity!

I am showcasing two products today and there are so many possibilities with them. I've only dented the surface, let me tell you!  The first is Sheer Pull Flower Wired Ribbon, a gorgeous May Arts wired sheer ribbon with three strands of contrasting colored ribbons that you can pull to create all kinds of flowers, ruffles, and more. They are incredibly easy to make especially if you are flower "challenged". Using these ribbons allow you to be able to say "why, I've made them myself"! Look at the gorgeous colors!!!

You'll see in my two card projects where I used beautiful papers from Webster's Pages, a paper and embellishment company that has so many delightful paper stacks with a Victorian look. I just love them! The pad I used today is from their Petite Papers line where they combine three collections into one stack. So you get a taste of all three collections to try out before you purchase! I love that they are double-sided, so if you don't prefer one side, you can use the other!

Okay, so what did I create? Well, I have created three projects showing the different ways to use the Sheer Pull Flower Ribbon with the pretty paper as a background. In my first card, I am demonstrating how you can use the Pull Flower Ribbon as a luscious bow. With it's wired edges, it holds its shape perfectly. My card uses Spellbinders™ Nestabilities® Romantic Rectangles, JustRite Papercraft With Sympathy stamp set, and Kaisercraft Champagne Pearls.

My next card shows how you can make a pretty embellishment for the center of your glorious bows! I removed both outer strings from the 6 inch piece of ribbon and pulled tight on the center ribbon then tied a small bow with the pull strands. I glued it to the middle of my bow and was finished! I used a pretty Red/Orange Silky Crushed Ribbon for my bow. My sentiment is from the JustRite Papercraft Large Fancy Sentiments stamp set, and my bling is Kaisercraft Orange Rhinestones.

And my final project, which I had a spectacular time creating is a darling birdhouse showing how to use the Pull Flower as a ruffle and then as flowers.  For the ruffle, I removed the two outer strands and pulled the middle piece to gather the ribbon around the base of the birdhouse. My flowers were made from 6 inch ribbon strips, the center pulled and knotted. I added sweet buttons to the pulled flower and tied with a bow. I used Satin String Leaves and Wired Beads - Pearls for embellishments. My birds and birdhouse is from Hobby Lobby (I painted the house with acrylic paints).

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store carries a versatile collection of supplies for your papercrafting needs from Spellbinders dies, JustRite Papercraft stamps and other stamps, Ribbons of all textures, styles and thicknesses, beautiful papers from a multitude of companies and lots of fabulous embellishments.
