Thankful for You...

I love the colors of Autumn with leaves and chrysanthemums in reds, yellows, greens and oranges. Today I have created a fall floral card that would be a perfect hostess gift at Thanksgiving or for any occasion where you are feeling most thankful.

I love to make flowers and Creative Inspirations paints have amazing color and shimmer to bring the petals to life. For my mum, I started by cutting 15 of the Die D-Lites™ Blooms Two die from Spellbinders® with ivory paper. I painted the back side of each flower with Burgundy paint, then turned it over and painted the front with Burnt Clay.

With a dry embossing tool and foam mat, I shaped the petals into a cup and then touched the tips with Buttercup paint. I glued one flower on top of the other, and continued in that manner until I got the fullness I wanted for my larger mum. With leftover flowers, I created two smaller mums. As a background for my mum, I cut various leaves from the Fall Foliage die set out of olive green cardstock, and painted them with Evergreen. I added a touch of Buttercup and Burnt Clay to the edges to show the changing of the leaves.

 

My sentiment from Autumn Vintage Labels Three was stamped onto Frame Two, then layered on top of Decorative Wrought Iron.

Christmas card making doesn't have to be a burden, especially when you stick to the clean and simple card style. Elegant, yet so quick!

Filigree Card...

I created a Victorian inspired card using Spellbinders® Enhancing Elements Gold Rectangles One dies to create the wonderful cut, emboss and deboss details. Not only does this Enhancing Elements die fit the Classic Rectangles dies but it also gives amazing details to the Decorative Labels Eight die cuts. I just tied a bow for the finishing touch and it's ready to use for any occasion. You can see this project in the Idea Gallery!

CAS Noel ...

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store is hosting the 12 Days of a CAS Christmas and tonight my card is featured on the blog! The 12 Days of a Clean and Simple Christmas is something the design team always enjoy so much and look forward to with great anticipation! Knowing that a lot of you mass produce cards at Christmas, the team submit our designs to you with the hopes that they will inspire you as you decide on what you’ll be creating this holiday season. We’ll be using new papers and stamps out this year so you can see them in use, which often helps when viewing new product.

My clean and simple card features the fabulous Spellbinders® Paper Arts 2013 Heirloom Ornaments and I used a new paper pad by KaiserCraft called St. Nicholas. This was quick, easy and you can use various papers to change the look from elegant to cute, to whimsical.

Christmas Countdown ...

When my children were little, every year they each would get an Advent Calendar and I loved it when they woke up every morning to open the next window and get that piece of chocolate! It was a fun tradition and in keeping with that idea, I created this fun Christmas Countdown decoration. I did "cheat" a little bit though, as I found the kit for this at Hobby Lobby at half price. 

I purchased the kit and put my spin on it with Christmas paper, added the base, and the Christmas dies to enhance it! I think it turned out great and it was fun to do! All supplies except the basic kit and base can be found at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

I've created this pretty card using Blooms Three, Sprigs and Frame Two and my background is made using Grateful Lattice as a mask.  I cut out my lattice piece and laid it over my white cardstock, then used the baby wipe technique with Faber-Castell Gelatos.

Welcome Baby...

Today's release is the second stamp set in the Baby category from JustRite Papercraft! This is such a sweet set with lovely sentiments and vintage images. You'll love all the projects from the design team!

I'm always inspired by other artists and when I stumbled upon this darling onesie, (template found here) I decided to make one of my own using a few of their elements, but a lot of my own! Instead of patterned paper, I used Becca Feeken's Filigree Leaves Background Stamp, and used Spellbinders Paper Arts® Scalloped Borders Two for the leg edgings. I also used a fancier die, Majestic Labels Twenty-Five, for the bib for a lacy effect. I hope you like my version!

Special Delivery ...

Today JustRite Papercraft is  very excited to introduce the first of two baby sets in the October Release - Special Delivery Clear Stamps.  These sets were a true labor of love, as they have had a baby set or two on the drawing board for years. This year, they got a very big nudge from a dear friend and alumni blog team member Sharon Johnson that they needed a baby set in their collection. 

Sharon was so sweet and gave them quotes that she would like to have for baby showers and births, and shared with them what types of images she would like to see in the set.  Amy Tedder and Kellie Fortin took those concepts and went back to the baby sets and brought Sharon's concept to life.  What started out as a simple 4' x 6" clear stamp set quickly bloomed into two 6" x 8" Baby sets.  I can't wait for you to see what the design team has created with today's set - Special Delivery Clear Stamps. A big shout and hug to Sharon for the inspiration!

Today, I've created a sweet card using newest Background stamp called "Rose Garden"!. I just love this stamp, and it's so easy to make a beautiful card with all the background stamps they have! This card was made with my gelato baby wipe technique after I embossed it with black embossing powder. Add some luscious silk ribbon and a sentiment and it's good to go! Enjoy!
