Fred, She Said's Emma and Midnight Madness...

It's official! It snowed all night and we got about 12 inches or more of snow! It's pretty when you look out the window! The wind blew snow up on the porch, and my wonderful son went out and swept it off and did the sidewalks! I'll keep him for another day!! He's my best buddy and yesterday before the snow hit, we spent the day shopping, sitting in the Social Security office and having lunch! We laughed and I got a couple of zingers in! What more could I want?

My card fits the sketch for Midnight Madness today! Scroll down and see how I made it and the sketch I followed is below as well!

My card today uses a Fred, She Said digistamp called Winter Emma and the Chickadee! I printed the image on Whisper White cardstock then cut it out using a Nestabilities Label die. I colored it with Copic Markers, added "faux" stitching, glitter and pearls, then laid it aside. I created my card background according to the sketch using designer papers from a paper stack called "Linen Closet" by DCWV.

I mounted my Emma panel to another cutout of glittery cardstock I made using a Nestabilities Label 4 die. I adhered it to my small square panel, then glued it to my card. I added aqua velvet ribbons and corner embellishments I made, and finished it off with brown  and soft aqua pearls! Card size: 5 x 6 1/4 inches

  2. Darcie this is so pretty. I love this soft color. Emma is just as cute as can be and besides Traci's flowers, this is one of my favorite. You worked her up perfectly. Thanks for playing along with us in the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge.

  8. Darcie, what a darling card. I absolutely love the colors you used and I just got that stack of paper and I love every sheet in it. Your coloring of the little girl is awesome. Your embellishments are so pretty and the background papers all matching your little girls outfit perfectly. Love your take on the sketch. You're in my neck of the woods, but sounds like you got more snow than we did, but I think we are all ready for Spring. Thanks for joining us at Midnight Madness this week. Such a pretty card.
